Power to amend further designation order relating to continental shelf between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland

(1) Section 3 of the Petroleum Royalties (Relief) and Continental Shelf Act 1989 (which enables a certain designation order under the Continental Shelf Act 1964 to be amended to give effect to an Agreement between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland relating to the Shelf) shall have effect with the amendments specified in subsection (2) below.

(2) In subsection (2), after the word “amending” there shall be inserted the words “the Continental Shelf (Designation of Additional Areas) Order 1971 and” and for the words “an area” there shall be substituted the word “areas”.

This Act may be cited as the Continental Shelf Act 1989.
