Humber Bridge (Debts) Act 1996
Power of Secretary of State

- (1) The Secretary of State may by order provide that any sum (including interest) which would otherwise be payable to the Secretary of State by the Humber Bridge Board in accordance with an agreement under section 5(3) of the Humber Bridge Act 1971, and which is specified in the order, shall not be so payable.
- (2) No order shall be made under subsection (1) without the consent of the Treasury.
- (3) The power to make an order under subsection (1) shall be exercisable by statutory instrument which shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of the House of Commons.
Short title

This Act may be cited as the Humber Bridge (Debts) Act 1996.
