Finances of Scottish Enterprise

In section 25 of the Enterprise and New Towns (Scotland) Act 1990 (which makes provision as respects the finances of Scottish Enterprise and in particular limits the aggregate amount which is permitted to be outstanding as regards certain elements of the finances of Scottish Enterprise, of its subsidiaries and of the now dissolved Scottish Development Agency)—

• (a) in subsection (2), for the words from “£2,000 million” to the end there shall be substituted “£4,000 million”; and

• (b) subsection (3) shall cease to have effect.

Short title, extent and commencement

• (1) This Act may be cited as the Scottish Enterprise Act 1999.

• (2) This Act extends to Scotland only.

• (3) This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed.
