Power of Housing Corporation to delegate functions etc.

- (1) In Schedule 6 to the Housing Associations Act 1985 (c. 69) (constitution of Housing Corporation), after paragraph 6 insert—
(6A) The Housing Corporation may delegate the exercise of any of its functions to any of its members, committees, sub-committees or employees.
- (2) The Housing Corporation is to be taken to have been authorised, at all times before the passing of this Act, to delegate the exercise of any of its functions to any of its members, committees, sub-committees or employees; and Housing for Wales is to be taken to have been so authorised at all times before its abolition.
- (3) Anything which purports to have been done before the passing of this Act by the Housing Corporation or Housing for Wales is to be taken to have been validly done if done or evidenced by a document duly executed under its seal.
- (4) If the fixing of the seal of the Housing Corporation or Housing for Wales has, at any time before the passing of this Act, been authenticated by the signature of any of its members or employees it is to be regarded as having been properly authenticated.
Short title and extent

- (1) This Act may be cited as the Housing Corporation (Delegation) etc. Act 2006.
- (2) This Act extends to England and Wales and Scotland.
