The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Visiting Forces (Designation) (Colonies) Order, 1954[^f00001], (hereinafter called the Principal Order) in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by subsection (1) of Section 15 of the Visiting Forces Act, 1952, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Amendment of Schedule to Principal Order

The Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by the addition of the word “Gibraltar” to the list of territories therein mentioned.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Order is to extend to Gibraltar, the provisions of the Visiting Forces (Designation) Order, 1954, in so far as those provisions relate to the United States of America by amending the Schedule to the Visiting Forces (Designation) (Colonies) Order, 1954.
