Whereas the Foreign Compensation Commission have, in pursuance of their powers under section 4 of the Foreign Compensation Act, 1950 made rules of procedure and have submitted them to me for my approval:

Now, therefore, I, David Viscount Kilmuir, Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 4 and section 8 of the Foreign Compensation Act, 1950, do hereby approve the said rules in the form set out in the schedule hereto.

This instrument may be cited as the Foreign Compensation Commission (Amendment) Rules, Approval Instrument, 1958, and shall come into operation on the third day of December, 1958.

SCHEDULE

THE FOREIGN COMPENSATION COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1958 The Foreign Compensation Commission in exercise of their powers under section 4 of the Foreign Compensation Act, 1950, hereby make the following Rules:— 1 These Rules may be cited as the Foreign Compensation Commission (Amendment) Rules, 1958. 2 Nothing in the Foreign Compensation Commission Rules, 1956[^f00001], shall apply to claims under the Foreign Compensation (Czechoslovakia) Order in Council, 1950[^f00002], or the Foreign Compensation (Yugoslavia) Order in Council, 1950[^f00003], and the Foreign Compensation Commission Rules, 1950[^f00004], shall apply, and be deemed always to have applied, to any claim under either of the said Orders in Council. Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of these Rules is that the Foreign Compensation Commission Rules, 1950 (including the time limit prescribed by those Rules for the making of claims) are to continue to apply, and are to be deemed always to have applied to claims under the Foreign Compensation (Czechoslovakia) Order in Council, 1950, and the Foreign Compensation (Yugoslavia) Order in Council, 1950, notwithstanding the revocation of the 1950 Rules by the Foreign Compensation Commission Rules, 1956.
