The Evidence by Certificate Rules 1962
Made: 18th October 1962
Coming into Operation: 1st November 1962
In pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by section 242 of the Road Traffic Act 1960, I hereby make the following Rules:—

Form 1 in the Schedule to the Evidence by Certificate Rules 1961[^f00001] (which is a form of certificate by a constable about a statement made to him as to a motor vehicle) shall be amended in the following manner:—
- (1) in paragraph (i) after the word “driven” there shall be inserted the words “[or used]”; and
- (2) in sub-paragraphs (b) and (c) of paragraph (ii) for the words “belonged to” there shall be substituted the words “[was being used by] [and] [or belonged to]”.

These Rules may be cited as the Evidence by Certificate Rules 1962 and shall come into operation on 1st November 1962.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Rules make amendments in the form of certificate used under section 242 of the Road Traffic Act 1960, consequent on the amendments to that section made by the Road Traffic Act 1962.
