Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 30(2) of the Nuclear Installations Act 1965 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

The Act (except for section 17(5) thereof) shall come into force on 1st December 1965.

This Order may be cited as the Nuclear Installations Act 1965 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1965.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force the Nuclear Installations Act 1965 (which consolidates the Nuclear Installations (Licensing and Insurance) Act 1959 and the Nuclear Installations (Amendment) Act 1965) except for section 17(5) (which bars the enforcement in the United Kingdom of certain foreign judgments).
