Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas by subsection (3) of section 78 of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965, it is provided that that Act shall come into operation on such day as Her Majesty may by Order in Council appoint:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said subsection (3), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

The Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 shall come into operation on 1st January 1966.

This Order may be cited as the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 (Commencement) Order 1965.
