The Administration of Justice Act 1965 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1965
Made: 31st March 1965
I, Gerald, Baron Gardiner, Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, by virtue of the powers conferred on me by section 36 of the Administration of Justice Act 1965, hereby make the following Order:—

The following provisions of the Administration of Justice Act 1965 shall come into force on the 27th April 1965, that is to say—
- Parts II and III;
- Part IV, except section 30;
- In Part V, sections 34 and 35 and, save insofar as it relates to Part I or the repeals consequential thereon, section 36;
- Schedule 2;
- In Schedule 3, the entry relating to the Prosecution of Offences Act 1879.

This Order may be cited as the Administration of Justice Act 1965 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1965.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force on 27th April 1965 the whole of the Administration of Justice Act 1965 except Part I, which provides for the investment of funds in court, and section 30, which enables section 1, relating to the establishment of common investment funds, to be extended to Northern Ireland.
