Made: 2nd August 1966

Coming into Operation: 11th August 1966

The Secretary of State for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 4(4) and 43 of the Charities Act 1960, as amended by the Secretary of State for Education and Science Order 1964[^f00001], hereby makes the following regulations:—

Citation and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Charities (Exception of Universities from Registration) Regulations 1966 and shall come into operation on 11th August 1966.

Exception of Universities from Registration

Every university which is not an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1960 shall be excepted from registration under the Act.
