The Criminal Justice Act 1967 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1967
Made: 14th September 1967
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 100(3) and 106(5) and (6) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967, I hereby make the following Order:—

- (1) In the Appendix to Schedule 1 to the Criminal Justice Act 1967 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1967[^f00001] (which Appendix specifies repeals to come into force on 1st October 1967) after the entries in respect of the Criminal Justice Act 1948 there shall be inserted the following words:—

- (2) In the said Appendix the entries in respect of sections 26 and 49 of the Prison Act 1952 shall be omitted and the said entries shall be inserted in Appendix B to Schedule 3 to that Order (which Appendix specifies repeals to come into force on 1st April 1968).

The provisions of Article 1 of the said Order bringing into force on 1st January 1968 the repeals of the enactments listed in Appendix B to Schedule 2 which relate to the enforcement of fines imposed or recognizances forfeited by courts other than magistrates' courts shall be without prejudice to the application of those enactments on and after the said date in relation to fines imposed or recognizances forfeited before that date.

This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1967 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1967.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Criminal Justice Act 1967 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1967 as respects the dates on which certain repeals made by the Criminal Justice Act 1967 are to come into force.
