Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers vested in Her by section 80 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1906 and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Schedule I to the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963 (as amended) is further amended—

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order extends the provisions of the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963 (which relates to the registration as British ships of ships belonging to or operated by the Governments of certain overseas territories) to ships belonging to or operated by the Government of the British Indian Ocean Territory.
