The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers vested in Her by section 80 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1906 and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) (Amendment) Order 1967 and shall be construed as one with the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963[^f00001] and the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) (Amendment) Order 1965[^f00002].
- (2) This Order, the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963 and the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) (Amendment) >Order 1965 may be cited together as the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Orders 1963 to 1967.
- (3) This Order shall come into operation on 1st January 1968.

Schedule I to the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963 (as amended) is further amended—
- (a) by the insertion in column (1), immediately below the words “The Government of British Guiana”, of the words “The Government of the British Indian Ocean Territory”, and
- (b) by the insertion in column (2) opposite to the words so inserted in column (1), of the words “The Administrator”.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order extends the provisions of the Merchant Shipping (Registration of Colonial Government Ships) Order 1963 (which relates to the registration as British ships of ships belonging to or operated by the Governments of certain overseas territories) to ships belonging to or operated by the Government of the British Indian Ocean Territory.
