The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by subsections (5) and (9) of section 98 of the Superannuation Act 1965, hereby make the following Order:—

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (National Board for Prices and Incomes) Order 1967, and shall come into operation on 18th April 1967.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Section 98(4) of the Superannuation Act 1965 provides that service in employments of the kinds listed in Schedule 8 to that Act shall be treated as service in the Civil Service of the State for the purposes of pensions and other superannuation benefits. This Order adds employment by the National Board for Prices and Incomes set up by the Prices and Incomes Act 1966 to the list in Schedule 8. Under the powers of Section 98(9), the Order takes effect as from 12th August 1966.
