Made: 12th June 1969

The Minister of Power in exercise of his powers under section 38(3) of the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Act 1969 hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Act 1969 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1969.

Part I of the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Act 1969 shall come into operation on 30th June 1969.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into operation on 30th June 1969 Part I of the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Act 1969, which provides for the security of tips associated with mines and quarries which have not been abandoned.
