Made: 2nd March 1972

The Minister for the Civil Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 30(4) of the Superannuation Act 1972, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Superannuation Act 1972 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1972.

The Superannuation Act 1972, except section 21 thereof and paragraphs 68 and 96 of Schedule 6 thereto, shall come into force on 25th March 1972.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 25th March 1972 the whole of the Superannuation Act 1972, except section 21 and paragraphs 68 and 96 of Schedule 6 (which relate to pensions for the employees of the British Airways Board group).
