The Import of Goods (Control) (Amendment) Order 1975
Made: 10th December 1975
Coming into Operation: 1st January 1976
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939 and now vested in him[^f00001], hereby orders as follows:

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Import of Goods (Control) (Amendment) Order 1975 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1976.
- (2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Import of Goods (Control) Order 1954[^f00002], as amended[^f00003], shall have effect as if there were included in the Schedule the following:

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order further amends the Import of Goods (Control) Order 1954 by suspending the operation of the Animals (Restriction of Importation) Act 1964 and the Wild Birds (Importation) Order 1970.
