Made: 10th June 1976

The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of their powers under section 109(2) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following order:—

This order may be cited as the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (Commencement No. 6) Order 1976.

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The following provisions of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 namely—

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 20th July 1976 provisions of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 which effect repeals and amendments in the Public Health (Drainage of Trade Premises) Act 1937, and repeals in the Public Health Act 1961.

The Order applies to England and Wales.
