The Armed Forces Act 1976 (Commencement) Order 1977
Made: 24th May 1977
The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 22(8) of the Armed Forces Act 1976 and all other powers enabling him, hereby makes the following Order:—

Except as otherwise provided by section 22(7) of the Armed Forces Act 1976, the provisions of the said Act shall come into force on 1st July 1977 and, accordingly, all the provisions thereof which have not previously come into force shall come into force on that date.

This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces Act 1976 (Commencement) Order 1977.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force on the 1st July 1977 those provisions of the Armed Forces Act 1976 which are not already in operation.
