Made: 17th March 1978

Coming into Operation: 24th April 1978

The Secretary of State, on the recommendation of the Manpower Services Commission, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9A(2) of the Industrial Training Act 1964, as inserted by section 6 of, and paragraph 13 of Part I of Schedule 2 to, the Employment and Training Act 1973, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Transfer of the Activities of Establishments) Order 1978 and shall come into operation on 24th April 1978.

Interpretation

Transfer of Establishments' Activities

The activities carried on at each establishment specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order, being an establishment of an employer in the industry of an industrial training board, shall, instead of being included for the purposes of the Act in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of that Schedule, be included for those purposes in the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order transfers the activities of the establishments specified in column 1 of the Schedule to the Order from the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 2 of the Schedule to the industry of the industrial training board established by the industrial training order specified in column 3 of the Schedule.
