The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1 of the United Nations Act 1946 is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Citation, commencement and extent

• (1) This Order may be cited as the Southern Rhodesia (United Nations Sanctions: Islands and Overseas Territories) (Revocations) Order 1979 and shall come into operation on 12th December 1979.

• (2) This Order shall, to the extent that it makes provision in relation to any Order of Her Majesty in Council in force in each of the Channel Islands, in the Isle of Man or in any associated state or other territory specified in Schedule 1 to this Order, have effect as part of the law of that one of the Channel Islands, of the Isle of Man or, as the case may be, of that associated state or other territory.

Revocations

The Orders specified in Schedule 2 to this Order are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes five Orders (specified in Schedule 2) which were made under section 1of the United Nations Act 1946 in order to give effect to resolutions of the Security Council of the United Nations.
