Made: 11th December 1979

The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 1(1) of the Crown Agents Act 1979 and article 2(1) of the Ministry of Overseas Development (Dissolution) Order 1979, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Crown Agents Act 1979 (Appointed Day) Order 1979.

The appointed day for the purposes of the Crown Agents Act 1979 shall be 1st January 1980.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order appoints 1st January 1980 as the day on which there shall come into being a body corporate named the Crown Agents for Oversea Governments and Administrations and a body corporate named the Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board, to function under and in accordance with the Crown Agents Act 1979.
