The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State, being Ministers designated[^f00001] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Economic Community, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said section 2(2) and of all their other enabling powers, hereby make the following regulations:—

Citation and commencement

These regulations, which amend the Non-Marketing of Milk and Milk Products and the Dairy Herd Conversion Premiums Regulations 1977[^f00002] (hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”), may be cited as the Non-Marketing of Milk and Milk Products and the Dairy Herd Conversion Premiums (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1980 and shall come into operation on 14th October 1980.

Amendment to regulation 2 of the principal regulations

In paragraph (1) of regulation 2 of the principal regulations immediately after the words “25th June 1979(g)” in the definition of “the Regulation of the Council” there shall be inserted the words “and Regulation (EEC) No. 1365/80 of the Council of 5th June 1980”.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations further amend the Non-Marketing of Milk and Milk Products and the Dairy Herd Conversion Premiums Regulations 1977 (as amended by the Non-Marketing of Milk and Milk Products and the Dairy Herd Conversion Premiums (Amendment) Regulations 1980) by including in the definition of “the Regulation of the Council” a reference to legislation which has further amended the Regulation there defined.
