Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1(1) of the Anguilla Act 1980, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Anguilla (Appointed Day) Order 1980.

The 19th December 1980 is appointed as the day on which Anguilla shall cease to form part of the territory of the associated state of St. Christopher, Nevis and Anguilla.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order appoints the 19th December 1980 as the day on which Anguilla shall cease to form part of the territory of the associated state of St. Christopher, Nevis and Anguilla. By virtue of section 1(5) of the Anguilla Act 1980, the Anguilla Act 1971 (c. 63) is repealed as from the same day.
