Made: 14th May 1980

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(2) of the Insurance Companies Act 1980 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Insurance Companies Act 1980 (Commencement) Order 1980.

The Insurance Companies Act 1980 shall come into operation on 1st June 1980.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into operation the Insurance Companies Act 1980 which extends the Insurance Companies Act 1974 to Northern Ireland.
