Coming into Operation: 17th September 1982

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food as respects England, and the Secretary of State as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2 and 17 of, and the Third Schedule to, the Agricultural Wages Act 1948, and now vested in the said Minister in relation to England and the Secretary of State in relation to Wales[^f00001], and of all their other enabling powers, hereby make the following regulations:—

(3) Such members shall, in the case of representatives of workers in agriculture, be nominated by the General Executive Council

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Agricultural Wages Committees Regulations 1949 (as amended) by providing that the members of Agricultural Wages Committees representing workers in agriculture shall be nominated solely by the General Executive Council of the Transport and General Workers' Union and not, as previously, by that Council and the Executive Committee of the National Union of Agricultural and Allied Workers. Consequential amendments are made to regulations 2, 3 and 6 of the 1949 Regulations.
