The Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1982
Made: 13th October 1982
The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31(1) and (2) of the Transport Act 1981, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1982.

The 1st November 1982 is hereby appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Transport Act 1981 come into force, namely—
- Section 19,
- Section 20,
- Schedule 7,
- Schedule 9, paragraphs 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15,
- Schedule 12, Part III, the items relating to sections 93(3) and (5) and 177(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1972.
- Section 30(1) and (2) so far as it relates to the above provisions.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
By this Order 1st November 1982 is appointed as the day on which the provisions of the Transport Act 1981 specified in Article 2 come into force. These provisions relate to disqualification from driving for repeated offences.
