The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 24(2) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979, hereby makes the following order:—

This order may be cited as the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1982.

The day appointed for the coming into operation of sections 3 and 7 (in so far as they are not already in force) and section 8 of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 shall be 1st December 1982.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into operation on 1st December 1982 sections 3 (constitution of Finance and Midwifery Committees of Central Council) and 7 (constitution of Finance and Midwifery Committees of National Boards) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 in so far as those sections are not already in force and section 8 (constitution of Health Visiting Joint Committee) of that Act.
