Made: 7th March 1982

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 35(5) and 40(4) of the Transport Act 1981, I hereby make the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1981 (Commencement) (No. 4) Order 1982.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1982 the provisions of the Transport Act 1981 mentioned in Article 2, including section 35(1) and (2), which relate to the charges for licensing cabs and cab drivers in London. The other subsections of that section were brought into force on 12th October 1981 by the Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/1331).

Apart from section 35, the following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:—
