The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 29(1) of the Armed Forces Act 1981, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces Act 1981 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1982.

The provisions of the Armed Forces Act 1981, so far as they are not already in force, shall come into force on 1 May 1982.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into operation on 1 May 1982 those provisions of the Armed Forces Act 1981 which are not already in operation.
