Made: 20th February 1984

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(2), (4) and (5) of the Transport Act 1982 and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1982 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1984.

The 1st June 1984 is hereby appointed as the day on which the following provisions (which relate to goods vehicle operator's licences) of the Transport Act 1982 come into force, namely—

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 1st June 1984 the provisions of the Transport Act 1982 which are referred to in Article 2. These provisions relate to goods vehicle operators' licences. Article 3 contains transitional provisions pursuant to section 76(4) and (5) of the said Act. Article 4 defines terms used in Article 3.
