The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 55(3) of the Dentists Act 1984, and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Dentists Act 1984 (Commencement) Order 1984.
Appointed day
2
- (1) The day appointed for the coming into operation of any provision of the Dentists Act 1984 specified in column (1) of Part I of the Schedule to this Order which relates to the matters specified in relation to that provision in column (2) thereof shall be 1st January 1985.
- (2) The day appointed for the coming into operation of any provision of that Act specified in column (1) of Part II of the Schedule to this Order which relates to the matters specified in column (2) thereof so far as that provision relates to proceedings before the Health Committee of the General Dental Council or to any direction or order given or made by that Committee shall be 1st January 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into operation on 1st January 1985 provisions of the Dentists Act 1984 relating to the Health Committee of the General Dental Council. These provisions are the last remaining provisions of that Act not already in operation.
