The Public Trustee (Custodian Trustee) (Amendment) Rules 1985

Coming into Operation: 18th March 1985
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Section 14(1) of the Public Trustee Act 1906, and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Rules:—

These Rules may be cited as Public Trustee (Custodian Trustee) (Amendment) Rules 1985 and shall come into operation on 18th March 1985.

In Rule 30(1)(f) of the Public Trustee Rules 1912[^f00001] after the words “British Gas Corporation” there shall be inserted the words “or any subsidiary of the British Gas Corporation”.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Rules enable subsidiaries of the British Gas Corporation to act as a Custodian Trustee of schemes and arrangements established by the British Gas Corporation to provide pensions, gratuities and similar benefits to or in respect of persons employed in the Gas industry.
