Made: 29th July 1986

In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 76(2) of the Transport Act 1982, I hereby make the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1982 (Commencement No. 6) Order 1986.

The following provisions of the Transport Act 1982, insofar as they extend to England and Wales, shall come into force on 1st October 1986, namely—

This Order shall not extend to Scotland.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force in England and Wales on 1st October 1986 the provisions of the Transport Act 1982 referred to in Article 2 of the Order. The substantive provisions which are thereby brought into force are those in Part III (except section 39) which relate to fixed penalties. This Order does not extend to Scotland.
