The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 28 and 29 of the Agriculture Act 1970 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the approval of the Treasury, hereby makes the following scheme:—
Citation, commencement and extent

- (1) This scheme may be cited as the Agriculture and Horticulture Grant (Variation) Scheme 1986 and shall come into operation on 25th January 1986.
- (2) This scheme extends to Northern Ireland only.
Variation of the Agriculture and Horticulture Grant Scheme 1980

Paragraph 14 of the Agriculture and Horticulture Grant Scheme 1980[^f00001] (closing dates for claims) shall be further varied by substituting in sub-paragraph (2)(d) for the date “30th June 1986” the date “30th September 1986”.

Paragraph 15 of that scheme (closing dates for incurring expenditure) shall be further varied by substituting in sub-paragraph (b) for the words “before 1st January 1986” the words “before 1st April 1986”.

Explanatory note
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This scheme further varies the Agriculture and Horticulture Grant Scheme 1980 and extends to Northern Ireland only. The scheme extends the deadline for receipt of claims in relation to certain works in less-favoured areas in Northern Ireland from 30th June 1986 to 30th September 1986 (paragraph 2). The closing date for incurring expenditure in respect of such works is extended from 31st December 1985 to 31st March 1986 (paragraph 3).
