Made: 26th March 1986

The Secretary of State, in exercise of his power under section 3(5) of the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the British National Oil Corporation (hereinafter called “the Corporation”) and the Oil and Pipelines Agency, and being satisfied that nothing further remains to be done by the Corporation under Schedule 2 to the said Act, hereby makes the following Order;—

This Order may be cited as the British National Oil Corporation (Dissolution) Order 1986.

The Corporation shall be dissolved on 27th March 1986.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order dissolves the British National Oil Corporation on 27th March 1986 pursuant to the provisions of section 3(5) of the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985. Part II of Schedule 4 to the Act will come into force on that date by virtue of the provisions of section 8(3).
