The Transport Act 1985 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1986
Made: 22nd January 1986
The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 140(2) and (3) of the Transport Act 1985, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following order:
Citation and Interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1985 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1986.
- (2) In this Order, “the 1985 Act” means the Transport Act 1985.
Commencement of Provisions

Subject to the limitation contained in article 3, the provisions of the 1985 Act specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters specified in the second column of that Schedule) shall come into operation on 14th February 1986.

Paragraph 19 of Schedule 7 to the 1985 Act (which amends the Concessionary Travel for Handicapped Persons (Scotland) Act 1980) shall come into operation only to the extent necessary to enable a local authority in Scotland to establish a scheme under section 93 of the 1985 Act.
