The Reverter of Sites Act 1987 (Commencement) Order 1987
Made: 14th July 1987
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9(2) of the Reverter of Sites Act 1987[^f00001] hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Reverter of Sites Act 1987 (Commencement) Order 1987.

The Reverter of Sites Act 1987 shall come into force on 17th August 1987.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 17th August 1987 the Reverter of Sites Act 1987. This Act will enable land granted under the School Sites Act 1841 (c. 38) (and certain similar 19th century statutes) for the establishment of schools and churches to be put to alternative use if, once the land is no longer used for the purposes of the grant, the person entitled to the land cannot be traced.
