The Parliamentary and other Pensions Act 1987 (Commencement No.1) Order 1987

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7(2) of the Parliamentary and other Pensions Act 1987[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary and other Pensions Act 1987 (Commencement No.1) Order 1987.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into force of section 4(1) and (3) of the Parliamentary and other Pensions Act 1987 is 23rd July 1987.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
Article 2 of this Order appoints 23rd July 1987 for the coming into force of the provisions of section 4(1) and (3) of the Parliamentary and other Pensions Act 1987. Section 4(1) and (3) make provision in respect of a widow’s pension for Sheila, Lady Maybray-King payable from the Consolidated Fund.
