The M3 Motorway (Compton-Bassett Section) (Revocation) Scheme 1987

Coming into force: 21st August 1987
The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Scheme in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of The Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The M3 Motorway (Compton-Bassett Section) Scheme 1974[^f00003] is hereby revoked.

This Scheme shall come into force on 21st August 1987 and may be cited as the M3 Motorway (Compton-Bassett Section) (Revocation) Scheme 1987.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Scheme)
This Scheme revokes the M3 Motorway (Compton-Bassett Section) Scheme 1974, made under sections 11 and 12 of the Highways Act 1959 (c. 25), authorising the provision of a special road along a route between Compton and Bassett in the County of Hampshire as part of the M3 Motorway. That route is more particularly described in the Schedule to that Scheme and shown by a heavy black line on the deposited plan to that Scheme.
