Coming into force: 2nd March 1987

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferrred on him by section 67(3) of that Act, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Reorganisation (Property) (West Yorkshire) Order 1987, and shall come into force on 2nd March 1987.

There shall vest in each local authority mentioned in the Schedule hereto—

(a) the relevant land so mentioned; and

(b) all rights and liabilities acquired or incurred exclusively in connection with that land.

Bradford City Council	The Highways Offices, 1, City Road, Bradford.
Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council	The former Highways Offices for Area 6, and the Offices' car park, Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth.
Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council	The Highways Offices, Albion Street, Huddersfield.
Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council	The Highways Offices, Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield.
Leeds City Council	The former Highways Offices for Area 1, Millshaw, Leeds.
Leeds City Council	The former Highways Offices for Area 2, Wykebridge Depot, York Road, Leeds.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order concerns certain properties formerly owned by the West Yorkshire Metropolitan County Council and used for highways purposes. This order transfers those properties to the councils for the districts in which they are situated.
