This amends section 62 of the Housing Associations Act 1985(c. 69) which provides for grants for affording tax relief to housing associations whose functions consist of or include providing or maintaining accommodation for letting. The effect of the amendment is to include the grant of a shared ownership lease (or in Scotland disposal under a shared ownership agreement) within the meaning of “letting”.
