The Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) Order 1987
Made: 24th September 1987
Laid before Parliament: 1st October 1987
Coming into force: 31st October 1987
In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 1(1) of the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975[^f00001], and after such consultation as is mentioned in section 18(4) of that Act, I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 31st October 1987.

The sports stadium at The Athletic Ground, Seamer Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire (being a stadium which in the opinion of the Secretary of State has accommodation for more than 10,000 spectators) is hereby designated as a stadium requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
By this Order the Secretary of State designates the sports stadium referred to in article 2 of it as a stadium requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.
