Made: 28th October 1987

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 14(1) of the Public Trustee Act 1906[^f00001], and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Rules:

These Rules may be cited as the Public Trustee (Custodian Trustee) Rules 1987 and shall come into force on 1st January 1988.

Rule 30(1) of the Public Trustee Rules 1912[^f00002] shall be amended by the addition of the following sub-paragraph after sub-paragraph (j):

(k) any corporation acting as trustee of the trusts of any pension scheme or pension fund established or maintained by the British Broadcasting Corporation, but only in relation to those trusts.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Rules)

These Rules amend rule 30 of the Public Trustee Rules 1912 so as to include as a corporation entitled to act as custodian trustee any corporation acting as trustee of trusts of any pension scheme or fund established or maintained by the British Broadcasting Corporation.
