Made: 5th November 1987

Coming into force: 3rd December 1987

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001] and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Oxfordshire that the last of the new trunk roads to be opened for through traffic has been opened for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 3rd December 1987 and may be cited as the A41 London—Birmingham Trunk Road (North Street to Graven Hill, Bicester) (Detrunking) Order 1987.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

That length of the Trunk Road in Bicester, comprising North Street, Field Street and St John’s Street and extending along Sheep Street to a point on London Road 220 metres west of the junction with the access to Rodney House Sports Ground, Graven Hill.
