Made: 23rd November 1987

Coming into force: 11th December 1987

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the route described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

The Secretary of State directs as respects any part of a highway which crosses the route of the new trunk road that —

until, in either case, a date to be specified in a notice given by the Secretary of State to the highway authority for that highway. The date specified will not be later than the date on which the relevant route is opened for the purposes of through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 11th December 1987 and may be cited as the Leicester-Great Yarmouth Trunk Road (A47) (Guyhirn Diversion) Order 1987.

SCHEDULE — ROUTE OF THE NEW TRUNK ROAD

The route of the new trunk road is at Guyhirn in the County of Cambridgeshire and is a route 660 metres in length, starting at a point 140 metres east of the disused railway bridge over the Trunk Road, going in an easterly direction, then a northerly direction to rejoin the Trunk Road at a point 80 metres southeast of the centre of Guyhirn Bridge.
