At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 26th day of November 1987 Present, The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 2, 17 and 21 of the Extradition Act 1870[^f00001], or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the United States of America (Extradition) (Amendment) Order 1987, and shall come into force on 1st January 1988.

The United States of America (Extradition) (Amendment) Order 1986[^f00002] shall be amended by inserting in Schedule 2 thereto the words “Hong Kong” below the entry for Gibraltar.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the United States of America (Extradition) (Amendment) Order 1986 (which applies the Extradition Acts 1870 to 1895 in the case of the United States of America in accordance with arrangements made with that country) by inserting an entry for Hong Kong, to which the 1986 Order will now apply.
