Coming into force: 2nd April 1987

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 15(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1972[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with such representative organisations as he thought fit in accordance with the provisions of section 199(2) of the said Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Regulation 7 of the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Regulations 1976[^f00002] shall be amended by the substitution therein of“£40” for“£34” and“£23” for“£19”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Regulations 1976 so as to increase the fees payable to the Royal Scottish Automobile Club for the authorisation of events insofar as they are to take place, in whole or in part, in Scotland.

The existing and the increased fees are as follows:-

Existing Increased
(a) Route mileage up to 50 miles £34.00 £40.00
(b) For each subsequent 50 miles or part thereof £19.00 £23.00
(c) Cancellation fee £10.00 No change
