Made: 25th February 1987

Coming into force: 1st June 1987

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 132 and 133 of the Land Registration Act 1925[^f00001] and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:—

Delivery of applications at the proper office

No application shall be duly delivered until it is delivered at the proper office, namely:—

The Land Registration (District Registries) Order 1984[^f00004] is hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order which replaces the Land Registration (District Registries) Order 1984 transfers responsibility for the registration of titles:—

The areas of the remaining district registries at Croydon, Durham, Gloucester, Lytham, Plymouth, Tunbridge Wells and Weymouth are unchanged.

The Order continues the requirement that applications for registration shall be delivered at the appropriate district registry, as defined in the Order.
