The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England, the Secretary of State for Scotland in relation to Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(2)(b), 2 and 3(1) and (2) of the Plant Health Act 1967[^f00001], and now vested in them[^f00002], and of every other power enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title, extent and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Import and Export (Plant Health) (Great Britain) (Amendment) Order 1987, shall apply to Great Britain and shall come into force on 18th March 1987.

Amendment of principal order

The Import and Export (Plant Health) (Great Britain) Order 1980[^f00003] shall be amended as follows—

“23 Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) — Western Flower Thrips.”; and

(7) The consignment shall be accompanied by an official statement that the plants comprising it were— (a) officially examined immediately prior to export and found to be free from Western Flower Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande)), and (b) grown at a place of production at which Western Flower Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande)) is not known to have occurred during the four weeks prior to the date on which the plants were removed from such place
